Leonardo Fogassi
Leonardo Fogassi - Università degli Studi di Parma
Leonardo Fogassi is Professor of Human Physiology at the Università degli Studi di Parma in Parma, Italy. His research focuses on the sensori-motor transformations operated by the cerebral cortex and the role of motor cortex in action perception. Some of his recent publications include: “
Mirror neurons responding to the observation of ingestive and communicative mouth actions in the monkey ventral premotor cortex
” (
European Journal of Neuroscience
, 2003) and “
Hearing sounds, understanding actions: action representation in mirror neurons
” (
Science
, 2002). He received his PhD in Neuroscience from the Università degli Studi di Parma.
