Michael Slote - University of Miami
Michael Slote is the UST Professor of Ethics at the University of Miami. A member of the Royal Irish Academy and former Tanner lecturer, he has taught at Columbia University, Trinity College Dublin, the University of Maryland, and, as a visitor, at the University of Pennsylvania.
He is the author of many books and articles on ethics, political philosophy, and moral psychology, including, most recently, The Ethics of Care and Empathy
(Routledge) and Moral Sentimentalism
(Oxford). His current research emphasizes the centrality of empathy to morality, law, and social justice.
