Leslie Bank - FHISER

Leslie Bank is an associate professor and director of the Fort Hare Institute of Social and Economic Research (FHISER) . Prior to his current position, he lectured at the Universities of Cape Town, Wits University and Rhodes University in South Africa, and served as a research fellow at both Oxford and Cambridge Universities in the United Kingdom.

Widely published in the fields of African studies, development studies and social anthropology, Professor Bank is currently completing a book on urban life in East London entitled Home Spaces, Street Styles: Contesting Power and Identity in a South African City.
