Colin Campbell – University of York
Professor Colin Campbell is Professor of Sociology at the University of York (UK). He is the author of some half a dozen books and numerous articles dealing with issues in the sociology of religion, consumerism, cultural change, and sociological theory.
He is probably best known as the author of
The Romantic Ethic and the Spirit of Modern Consumerism (Macmillan 1987;Alcuin Academic 2005). His latest book,
The Easternization of the West, was published by Paradigm Publishers in the autumn of 2006.
