Stefano Zamagni

 Stefano Zamagni – University of Bologna



Stefano Zamagni undertook a degree in economics ant the Catholic University in Milan, and studied his GB at the University of Oxford (1969-1973).  He has been Adjunct Professor of International Political Economy at Johns Hopkins University at Bologna Center since 1977 and chair professor of economics at the University of Bologna since 1979. 

Since 1996, Professor Zamagni has been the representative of the Italian Bishops’ Conference to the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Community (COMECE) in Brussels.  He is a member of the Pontifical Council on Justice and Peace in Vatican City.  He has a particular concern for migration issues, being the president of ICMC (International Catholic Migration Commission) in Geneva since 1999.
