Kathleen Creel’s research is on epistemological and methodological issues in computer science and its scientific applications, such as the use of machine learning for pattern recognition. She is also interested in early modern philosophy and science, especially in the Scottish Enlightenment. She has a BA in Computer Science and Philosophy from Williams College and an M.A. in Philosophy from Simon Fraser University.
