Lucy Küng is a professor, author, speaker and advisor who specializes in strategy, innovation and leadership in the media, creative and tech industries. She is Visiting Fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, Oxford University, Professor of Media Management and Economics at the Media Management and Transformation Centre at the University of Jönköping, Executive Board Member of SRG SSR, the Swiss public service broadcaster, and author of a prize-winning book on Strategy in the Media Industry. Lucy divides her time between Switzerland, Sweden and the UK. In recent years she has worked closely with the BBC exploring the success of their highly successful online and digital television services. She is also Senior Research Fellow at Ashridge, UK, and adjunct faculty member at the University of St Gallen (where she received her PhD and Habilitation). From 2008-2010 she was President of the European Media Management Association. In 2015, she published 'Innovators in Digital News' (I. B. Tauris and Reuters Institute) and shared with STI some of its conclusions.
