Pau Serra del Pozo received his Ph.D. in geography (University of Navarra, 1993). He enjoyed a postdoctoral scholarship in 1994 and 1995 granted by the Government of Navarre to do research on Geographical Information Systems at the University of Maryland (USA). In 2010 he participated in the creation of the municipal Immigration Observatory of Badalona (Spain).
He has also been a researcher member of the IMITMA Program on “New paths of Andean International Migration Andean in Latin America and in Europe. Routes of mobility and territorial inscriptions of Andean migrants in large cities (Argentina-Spain), “ funded by the Centre Nationale de la Recherche Scientifique (France) and CONICET - National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (Argentina). In the summer of 2012 he taught “Population Geography” at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
He currently teaches "Immigration and Delinquency" at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya and works at the Barcelona local government authority's (Diputació de Barcelona) Bureau for Diversity and Community Policies . He collaborates with the GEDIME (Grup d’Estudis d’Immigració i Minories Ètniques) research group on immigration and ethnic minorities at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
